The Oracle Has Spoken.
Er.. back to the thread:

Eben Moglen's talk at the Knowledge Commons in Delhi was outstandingly
brilliant.
He had pertinent comments to make on Oracle, Google, Paul Allen, and
other issues.
Have requested Venky to urgently publish videos and audios of Eben's speech,
so we may all learn from this chief proponent of FOSS, and spread and
share his insights further.

Venkey, another appeal, Please publish this as early as possible.
This is extremly important.
While I don't think oracle will even ever care about openoffice, they might think about java. Well, actually OpenJDK is also being so widely used with other huge supporters like IBM doing their stuff, it is going to be difficult to close source java and make it proprietory.
But we must still look at this fight closely.
This seems to be software with the "e" removed.
it is indeed a softWar.
In fact, I feel at one level the Oracle vs Google debate may not just
be about patents-trolling,
and negotiating a balance-of-patents-sharing,
but also a struggle to wrest control over cloud-based databases and
database-engines.

LL, I think your earlier answere on this thread is very valid.
Its the tyranny which oracle wishes to lonch on the world.

Happy hacking.
