See, the author is free to licence and/or distribute his/her work as 
s/he feels fit.  I am simply saying:

1. CC-*-NC is more (though not even completely that) a "free beer", not 
a "free speech" licence, not an open licence, and hence

2. CC-*-NC licences should be shunned by those who desire freedom and 
openness for their work.

Whether or not your work should be open and how you should make money 
from it is a different question, and can be discussed ad infinitum in a 
separate context.
