I may have misunderstood the objectives of this project.  Let me get
the clarifications anyway.

Are you suggesting that this wrapper will help push the transaction
created using other applications into tally?

The requirement that will help push the use of free software is a
wrapper that will take the transactions from tally and push them to
the existing free software apps, say gnuKhata or some other free
accounting package.

Your approach may help in sustaining the existing state of affairs.
can you clarify?
