Yes! That was one of the questions Jim brought up during the Clearview
design review, and that's generally the direction in which we'd go to
introduce new types of tunneling over IP.
One nit here is that GRE can run over lots of things and is embedded
in things that don't look exactly like manually configured tunnels
(e.g. L2TP sessions).
Are you saying the encapsulation can be:
IP [ L2TP [ GRE [ IP + TCP ] ] ]
Is it worth trying to layer tunnel devices?
