and then if needed we can present the case to the escalation or
c-team/marketing folks for
their input. Since I did the original putback for this CR in Nevada, I
volunteered to do the needful
if any further action is required. But, like you said, it has to be a
very strong business case....

try to keep the patch gate quiet, so you usually
need an associated escalation or c-team/marketing approval to
get in. You'll need to figure out all of the binaries
that will need to be redelivered in a patch based on
your changes, then fill out a patch RTI (request to integrate).
S10 is currently in "update" mode, which makes it a bit
