That seems to be a common misconception. LLA and Bonjour-like things
are independent but will synergize to allow for creating an ad hoc
network for the common user.
That and debugging seem like reasonable uses for LLA. The ubiquity of
network access in the places I live and visit is squeezing out a lot of
the use I might have made of LLA a few years ago. And I'm not sure
that would have been all that common then.
