It won't. IPMP is an IP-layer construct, not a link-layer construct. > I have been poking around the opensolaris network community, and can't > seem to find any documents that cover the userland changes. The administrative changes are covered in section 4 of the high-level design document: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/clearview/ipmp-highlevel-design.pdf As above, since IPMP is an IP-layer construct, the requirement of editing /etc/hostname.* remains. However, all hope is not lost: the Network Auto-Magic project plans to remove the need for /etc/hostname.* and thus will also include provisions for IPMP configuration. In addition, the current plan is for NWAM to detect when IPMP is appropriate across a set of IP interfaces and enable it automatically (with no configuration). If you have more questions, please let us know (preferably at [EMAIL PROTECTED]). Also, if you're interested in giving an Early Access version of the NG-IPMP bits a spin, likewise, let us know.
