Also, another data point would be out output from the arp buffer. (arp
-a), to see if the arp request succeeded.
I'd suggest the next step would be just to file a bug on
bugs.opensolaris.org.
A useful data point would be if a luxadm forcelip on
the port fixes things.
It was the first thing I did but it didn't help
