Hmm, I know of quite a few bugfixes and RFEs in Nevada that are not in
S10 FCS -- especially to drivers to make them better behaved with IPMP.

In addition to the applicability issue, and despite what Darren said,
I'm *not* trying to advertise anything. I think that someone who has
problems with a distribution -- any distribution, Sun's or otherwise
-- should go first to that distributor for help. I don't think that
opensolaris.org should become a dumping ground for support problems.

It's a matter of on and off topic discussion, and unless you're using
and talking about the OpenSolaris bits, I don't think you're staying
on-topic.

OpenSolaris is a product of Sun and is dependant on Sun.
At one point in time OpenSolaris was very much similar to Solaris 10.

OpenSolaris forums have a large number of Sun people
subscribed to them, so it doesn't seem unreasonable to
ask questions about Solaris 10 on OpenSolaris forums.
Telling people we won't answer such questions does not
seem like a friendly answer nor does it seem to me to be
in the long-term best interests of [Open]Solaris because
it drives people away rather than encouraging them to
participate and feel like they're part of the community.

If/when OpenSolaris is completely independant from Sun then,
yes, asking Solaris questions here would be inappropriate.

Darren
