All,

Does anyone know why I cannot autopush a STREAMS module on top of /dev/udp in
Solaris 10? I get the error that major/minor is already configured. I believe
this means that autopush has already been configured for the device. Note that
I am doing this from /etc/inittab at boot time before SMF gets started, so I
don't see anything in user mode doing this.

Is this autopush happening by "magic" in Solaris 10? Is there something simple
that can be done to enable the autopush of UDP? Note that we have a program
that actually clears the autopush configuration (by using the SAP_CLEAR command
via the SAD_SAP ioctl on the /dev/sadm/admin device) and then uses the SAP_ALL
command to configure our module. But, I don't believe we want to blindly wipe
out any configuration that is already there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony
