    When we worked on MDT I do remember Adi did a tremendous job of 
documenting
the, pholisophy, implementation....
    There's a couple of patents you can search for to get more 
documentation.....go to....

www.uspto.gov and to a patent search. There two types of search, 
Published Applications
and Patents issued.

In the 'Published Applications' if you search for DiMambro, Masputra, 
Poon you'll find

If you search the Issued patent you'll find...

*7,308,000 *Methods and systems for efficient multi-packet data

    That also gives some more info on the problem being solved.
