Browsing through this forum, I can see that this topic has been touched before but I dont see any answer as to 'when'. We are looking into developing a GLDv3 driver for a future product for both solaris 10 and opensolaris (and the answer to the question may be different for S10 and opensolaris). GLDv3 is the obvious choice for the interface but it seems that we cannot use it as a future s10 patch or an opensolaris release may break the driver. Is there any plan to make the interface stable in near future so that we can start the development today. If so, any estimates around when is it planned to be done ? Or is it pretty much that dont use it until some indefinite future when the interface will become stable.
