I can't see it happening until some time next year, and when it does
happen, I would expect that the changes that have been made will _not_
be compatible with S10 so that there's no migration path between the
two.

In other words, I expect that there to be a public GLDv3 interface
some time next year for OpenSolaris, but possibly never for Solaris 10
due to the incompatibilities.

For S10, I'd suggest sticking with either GLDv2 or DLPI.

(That's just my view based on the projects I see in progress now
within OpenSolaris; I don't and can't speak for Sun itself.  If you
need an "official" opinion, you'd probably need to work that through
Sun's support group.)
