Nwam doesn't come up with addresses on its own; it merely invokes DHCP
to get them.

If you're getting the 'wrong' address, then I think you've got a DHCP
server on your network that's handing out those addresses.  You can
use this command to find out the IP address of the server:

        /sbin/dhcpinfo -i $INTERFACE ServerID

Where "$INTERFACE" is the IP interface ("foo0") of interest.

You should also be able to prove the case using snoop or wireshark.

If you've got a rogue DHCP server on your network handing out unusable
addresses, then I think you'll need to set up IP Filter to block it
out.  We don't have special features in the DHCP client to avoid
"unusable" servers: servers are assumed to be authoritative.
