Wireshark (including tshark) is included in the OpenSolaris package repo, and tcpdump is also there as well. There is hopefully little need to add any additional 3rd party tools for packet capture.

Snoop is being phased out in favor of Wireshark, but there are no concrete plans to remove support for snoop. At this point, we're including both with a focus on moving users over to Wireshark.
