Yep.

Just 'do the right thing' in the codebase and actually have a 
patch hanging around ( and freely available ) called 
'patch_to_do_the_wrong_thing_so_Webfolders_will_work.pat'.

That way... no one can accuse you of not 'supporting' something but
if anyone is crazy enough to continually apply a patch that is actually
named 'do_the_wrong_thing' then, well... whadda ya gonna do.
