I have been trying to upgrade to the newest glib and gtk+ packages, but keep getting errors regarding conflicts with the older glib package. I uninstalled the earlier version and now(of course)can't start Linux. Iam resigned to re-installing now, but how do I avoid this problem in the future? How do you uninstall vital libraries in order to upgrade without upsetting the whole system? Thanks, Ray
