No, actually its a KDE problem.
My monitor cant handle anything higher than 640x480 (yes, i tried 800x600 but I
only get noise). But I get 24bit color in my 640x480 without problems.

The problem is that the menus and windows in KDE are in one fixed (too large)
size for this monitor. So i get gigantic windows (which i have to resize all
the time) as well as some dissapearing "ok", "cancel" and "apply" buttons.
I also have to get the menubar in its "tiny" setting.

Dont get me wrong, I am completely in love with KDE and Mandrake 5.3, I was
only manifesting monitor-envy... ^_^
