Yep..
Here is how I did it and it seems to work:
Name the connection.
Fill in all the information.
On The screen where it has the expect: Send: options leave them blank. You will
see why.
Save it and connect. That should do it. In the Modem Section of the program it
has where you can change the Volume of the modem. Sorry not being at the
computer at home to look at it . The help is a little scratchy :(

Mine does the same thing. On the Linux Mandrake web page, under updates
or FAQ, I forget which, one is directed to the redhat errata site for a
fix. I haven't tried it yet. Have you successfully configured the kppp
dialer yet? I am having lots of trouble there.
