I am having a very strange problem with my server and I really need some
help. I can write to the server at normal rates averaging around 800k/sec.
When I read from the server I only average around 7k to 9k/sec. This is
driving me crazy.
I have tried different versions of Ethernet cards and different
distributions of Linux. Currently I have Mandrake 6.0 with the updated
kernel 2.2.27.
It does not matter how you transfer the results are the same. I have tried
FTP, SAMBA, and I download files from the internet with IP Masquerading
(ipchains). I have tried pulling the second card out and the results are
the same.
Any suggestions???
