[newbie] From Gnome back to KDE

I switched from KDE to Gnome easily with the desktop switcher in KDE.  But,
I want to switch back from Gnome to KDE and I don't see how.  I'm assuming
there is a way to do this.  Also I presume my settings in each environment
will stay put even though I may switch back and forth between them.
