No worries, you did the correct thing. the kflushd was only in 2.2.8(?,
something lower then 2.2.9 i forgot at the moment) and was removed in
2.2.9 and no one mentioned it so it kinda sliped past us. There is also a
problem with the "core" functions in the 2.2.9-19mdk kernel, you should
install the updated kernel ,version 2.2.9-27mdk.
