I'm getting to /home by going from /root to / then clicking on the
/home directory folder icon. It's something I only do when I want to
move files from my user folder to my /mnt/win_c folder - owned by root.
(Prior to transferring them to a udf formatted cd which can only be
written to in Windows.) I know enough not to do normal work as root.
As I said, this is something that has only started happening recently.
I suspect that I have buggered something up.
