hi,

i seem to remember one time that flickering on konqueror was because the size
and shape of the default window size was somehow just the wrong one! when i
altered it the flickering stopped, i'm not saying this is your problem, i
can't honestly remember if i had to use xkill in these cases or not but i
remember the flickering problem, open konq in a directory where it works and
then alter the width of the width and save as a file manager profile and then
browse to /home see if it makes any difference, my wild guess is that my
problem was due to the particular font i used and icon size, somehow mandrake
couldn't 'decide' how to arrange the display?
