<snip>

[frans@dolphin src]$ pwd
/usr/src
[frans@dolphin src]$ ls -l
total 8
lrwxr-xr-x    1 root     root           18 Sep 29 21:50 linux -> linux-2.4.19-16mdk/
drwxr-xr-x   18 root     root         4096 Sep 29 21:50 linux-2.4.19-16mdk/
drwxr-xr-x    7 root     root         4096 Sep 29 21:44 RPM/
[frans@dolphin src]$

So /usr/src/linux is (just) a link to /usr/src/linux-2.4.19-16mdk/ .

The linux-2.4.19-16mdk kernel is a Mandrake patched kernel.
