This ques is directed to Stephen; would you recommend these file
changes be done on any system, as a matter of practice, to make
things run more smoothly? Or, is it only to be used if there are
apparent problems?
I have checked my /etc/profile and /etc/ld.so.conf, and these entries
are not present.
My system seems to be working OK, but as a newbie I am curious about
this.
