OK, how does one go about writing commands to the modem to see what it's doing? I've recently lost the use of my WinModem fax modem, and can't for the life of me figure out how to see what's happening.
With Windows, you can use Hyperterminal to write requests directly to the modem and see what the responses are. Anything like that in Mandrake 8.2?
