I noticed that my sound card (Sound Blaster Live 5.1) wasn't playing background to the back speakers and sub-woofer when I installed Mandrake 9.0.
As near as I can figure, I need to install the EMUL10K1 driver. However, it appears that I need to recompile, etc. etc. etc. Before I did all of this, I wanted to see ifanyone knew if I was doing the right thing or if I was hunting through the weeds in the wrong direction. David
