It should do if the spec file of the RPM has defined a menu entry (and most do 
if they have a GUI). And not just the Kmenu. It will put an entry in all the 
Window Managers (Maybe not Xfce)

Sometimes the menu entry will appear a few minutes later. If it does not show 
up type
update-menus  in a root terminal, and/or in a user terminal  If you have a lot 
of Window Managers installed it takes longer for the menu entries to appear.
