At initial boot with the CD1 in hit F1 instead of enter and then at the boot 
prompt you can type  "linux mem=xxx" and then hit enter. Once it boots up 
then you can go to lilo and append the mem= . Or on 9.0 you might be able to 
do F1 and go right to configure lilo, I can't remember. At any rate the 
append line needs to have the "mem=xxx " added to lilo. HTH
