Hmm...RH *is* compatible with 386+. Mandrake is optimized
for Pentium and better. I'd suggest re-installing RedHat
from scratch, including wiping the drives. I had to do that
for a client the other day, because something flaked out on
his system and it would no longer connect to us using PPP.
I tried installing RedHat 6 over itself, but that didn't
fix it. The only thing that fixed it was wiping the drive
and reinstalling.
