short thunk, when power is first applied, 1, 2 seconds and then thunggg. in powering off, there would be no thunggg as there is no need to degauss when powering off, but there could be a thunk as power relay drops out.
Your've got it. that is how it is,
as mentioned, how a monitor is driven in resolution can be a factor in what
amount of current is drawn by monitor. more res = more current = heat.
ok but would i be able to feel this excessive heat around the monitor casing, because if so, it's not hot at all, cann't say I feel any sensation of normal ambient temperature.
Oh, the M9.0 is running on nvidia's own, but M9.1beta3 is onas mentioned, try dropping resolution. as for linux drivers versus oos drivers, i dislike saying this, but oos does have tighter and better drivers.
open source drivers. I'm not really suspecting drivers.
Well, I've just spend an hour unplugging and replugging everything, I want
to test this a bit and see whether that stops the problem, if not I'll try
dropping monitor settings.
