Yes it does. The DC++ FAQ says that the active mode port can be set, within DC++, to anything you want. I should hope that you don't need to know that passive mode uses HTTP/TCP on port 80, because you must have got web browsing working before trying something you didn't understand. As for passing that port through an IPMasquerade, that is a firewall problem; you need to configure the IPTables to get the traffic through. And that is the Shorewall problem that you have said that you don't have, and for which the advice that you have been given is to stop using Shorewall. But the FAQ also gives details for setting up a firewall for Linux 2.2, 2.4 and even Shorewall. Stop posting HTML. -- Richard Urwin
