First run 'top' , then <Shift+p> to sort by cpu usage. If 'aplay'
is hoggin nearly 100% cpu, then as root, 'urpme alsa-utils'
Then start 'aumix'. All the levels are probly set to -0-. Move the
sliders up, and you should be able to hear sound.
