Roger-dodger, I have the MP3s on a cd and on one comp they play dandy, in xmms with KDE desktop. On the next comp not, although regular audio cd's play fine. Volume is up and the sound is onboard via 8xxx something. All I can think is that the via onboard sound can't do mp3s? -- Dennis M. linux user #180842
