Hi Paul, I've just upgraded ximian evolution to 1.4.4 through ximian red-carpet, wich manages all the dependences stuff (two or three packages were downloade and updated) automatically. Try it, it works great.
http://www.ximian.org/products/redcarpet/download.html Then, choose " Linux mandrake 9.1 for x386" in the list and go. You can also use red-carpet to upgrade mandrake instead urpmi.
