all i did was go into preferences, general, and disabled the buddy ticker from there. i'm still using version 0.59, which is in the mdk 9.1 distro. i installed 0.66 from the rpm and i can't find it and i've tried to install 0.67 through a terminal and i can't get it to work, although i'm missing one thing i still have to download for it i believe. i've had a lot of problems trying to upgrade with something that should be relatively easy to do (and i followed the instructions in the 'install' document).
