I have found that the "password saving" function in the past few versions of GAIM are flaky at best; with Yahoo! delete and then recreate the account - do NOT save the password - and it should work without flaw; I thought at first that someone was logged into my Yahoo! account, but after some experimentation, found this to be the issue.
