1) d/l http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/peanut/current/iso/small.iso
2) Toss a blank CD in your burner.
3) Figure out the dev number of your burner with "cdrecord -scanbus". It's the three
   numbers separated by commas.
4) On the commandline type "cdrecord dev=0,0,0 speed=8 -v -dao small.iso"
   where 0,0,0 is the dev number of your burner.  

Boot to it.
