[newbie] Anyone get qcam working?

This is a QuickCamVC color

I have Mandrake 6.1 with the qcam stuff compiled in as well as the
video4linux

Reading howtos,faqs,web-sites, mans etc. It just doesnt sink in.

xcam under SANE doesnt recognize it either.

Any suggestions?
