You can answer this yourself in a terminal:
rpm -qa | grep samba
This will list all the installed RPMs that have "samba" in the name.

OK, it looks like I have two rpms installed> Both are 2.2.7a-8mdk, and one is a client, the other is "common". Is "common" the server?
