> Does anyone have anything positive to say about 9.2? I haven't installed it myself yet, but Tom has come out and called it solid enough to be almost "boring". Austin Acton, who is on the TLUG list here in Toronto and is on the devel team, IIRC, says it's a killer release, and from what I saw of the list of included packages, it's worth the install (now where was that list again...? ah, here it is: http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/9.2/features/15.php3)...all the Gnome 2.4 and associated goodies, Gpdf (finally a decent-looking PDF viewer), Samba 3.0 (in Contribs anyway), etc. and of course the new kernel. To be honest, I wish they would have said 'FU' to the LG thing and left packet-writing in there. Anyway, I think Ars is just trying to fill space, really, though they do make some valid points about Mandrake maybe being more aggressive on the Enterprise front, but what the hell do I know about that side of the business... I'm shocked that the public release of the ISO's will be pushed back to December, tha's fer sher. -- HaywireMac ++ ICQ # 279518458 Registered Linux user #282046 Homepage: www.orderinchaos.org ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Mandrake HowTo's & More: http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today. -- William Allen White
