The fdisk/mbr command is a DOS switch command and it removes lilo from
your MBR, master boot register , which is a small secret partition at
the very beginning of every hard drive.
If you have XP there is a way to do it from an XP console but I cannot
remember just now.

Isn't that the command to reinstall W2K and XP boot loader ?

Mind , come to think of it it has the same result, since it blots 
out lilo
