I just did a clean 9.2 install on my Cable connected Box (albeit a NIC 
connected one) and noticed that the network configuration during the 
installation didn't stick i.e. was lost after reboot. Running the wizard a 
second time (from mcc in KDE) did the trick though.
Maybe that's the problem....wouldn't hurt trying would it?;)
