Well, netcraft tells you what web server they are running, that doesn't
necessarily mean that they are running a Linux based mail server. I know a
whole lot of companies, including where I work, that run Apache on a
Unix/Linux box(es) for web stuff and still run MS Exchange as the mail
gateway. So, it is entirely possible that they do have a windows machine
that is running AV software and sent the notices out upon receiving even
innocuous attachments in mail. This is especially true if someone was
polling their regular mail account and then routing the mail through the
Exchange server. Or even decided to simply forward everything to their work
email account.

Samba won't allow you to run Symantec, so I am pretty sure that those messages
originated from a real Windows machine somewhere.
