Basically you have two choices, upgrade or install. Either one will
automatically, if nothing's changed since 9.2, leave your /home partition
untouched unless you tell it to format. Back up everything critical anyway.

Upgrade will keep everything you already have installed on /, whereas an Install
will wipe it clean. The choice is yours.

I've heard both sides on whether to upgrade or install, some say upgrading can
lead to problems with conflicting configurations between new and existing apps.
Worst case scenario, you do an Upgrade, it's flaky, you start again and do a
clean install.
