Basically you have two choices, upgrade or install. Either one will automatically, if nothing's changed since 9.2, leave your /home partition untouched unless you tell it to format. Back up everything critical anyway. Upgrade will keep everything you already have installed on /, whereas an Install will wipe it clean. The choice is yours. I've heard both sides on whether to upgrade or install, some say upgrading can lead to problems with conflicting configurations between new and existing apps. Worst case scenario, you do an Upgrade, it's flaky, you start again and do a clean install. -- JoeHill Registered Linux user #282046 Homepage: www.orderinchaos.org +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 10:53:20 up 8 days, 1:23, Mandrake Linux release 9.2 (FiveStar) for i586 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only real cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a bastard from Hollywood to Las Vegas." -- Hunter S.
