I don't think so; generally what you do if you're not connecting to the
server directly by telnet (or better, ssh) is use fetchmail to fetch
mail (so *that's* where the name comes from!) from the server and put it
in your local spool. Then use whatever you want to read it--maybe you'll
like mutt better than pine.

Been a long time since I used flux, but it used to be able to put
WindowMaker dockapps in the slit--that's where I'd look first.

Dillo. Doesn't do javascript, flash, java, css, or even ssl, so you'll
need to keep firefox or something around for a backup. It's the
lightest, bestest gui browser out there.
