thanks, I'll try that after a reboot, will let you know. > Now with Evolution, it generally uses a standard format that is world > acceptable; are you using HTML or plain text? Plain text. :) > Either which, if in fact you DO want to change the line width from 72 > down to 45, Nonono it seems to have done that. I'd like it around 68 so. 45 looks way too weird. I don't know how it got like this. But, as I said in my reply to Charlie, it apparently rewraps itself when it sends, so I'm the only one seeing it at 45. And no beer tonight. could that be the problem? > BTW, I'm not knocking Evolution because I live in it every day for MY > mail, but have you considered using Mozilla Thunderbird for email > instead of Evolution? I've been using Thunderbird on the windoze side for a couple months now - what I don't like about it is its lack of functionality. :) I've got a mailing list of about 200 that goes out every 6 weeks or so, and with Tbird I must go down the row and mark each one 'BCC' by hand - can't just select a bunch and have it do that for me (as Netscape mail did for me, before my switch to Tbird) I know, I know, "whaaaah." ;-) I just got my modem working thursday (did the Mandrake install last week) , so I have a lot of bugs to work out and a lot of man & info files to read yet - I'll try not to ask too many stupid questions without reading more first. > stephen kuhn - proprietor thanks Stephen J -- why linux? because MS is to OS as AOL is to ISP
