Try upgrading your kernel to the latest available in the updates directory. I experienced this on my Thinkpad and it went away when I upgraded the kernel. 2.4.21 is the 9.1 kernel. 2.6.3 is the 10.0 kernel so you should try to upgrade anyway. -- /g
