Now the question is. How can I record a real audio stream?
RealPlayer 10 plays the preview stream OK, but I cannot persuade mplayer to play it.

mplayer -playlist http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/media/hitchhikers_trail.ram
IE, mplayer works fine with it.
Look at -dumpstream -dumpfile options to keep 'em.
